The USDA has quietly ended a ban on processed chicken imports from China. The products won’t require a country-of-origin label â which means there’s no way to know whether those chicken nuggets in the freezer aisle came from a country with a spotty food safety reputation.
I just. I mean. I can’t. Why does our country sell FOOD produced in CHINA?!? Their country is SEVEN THOUSAND miles away from ours!!
Mason, or Ball, jars have so many practical uses, but when it comes down to it, they’re made for canning food to preserve it and line it on dusty, dark shelves for the winter. Being able to stock your own shelves with food you grew is a pretty fantastic, simple pleasure.
I’m a little behind on my personal canning, starting to feel seasonal produce anxiety.
